Product Description: A piece depicting an Indian Hindu community marriage ceremony. The piece shows a mantapam, a Gazebo kind of a structure where the ceremony takes place. Inside the mantapam, are the bride and groom seated and recieved new clothes. (As a tradition, the bride and groom recieve new clothes from either ones in laws). There is a priest who is performing the ritual. Outside the mantapam, are the marriage musicians (band) playing auspicious Sannai (shahnai in Hindi) and mridang (dhol).
